Using your Bolton Council card on local buses

Use sQuid to pay for bus travel in Bolton If you have a Bolton Council card featuring a GMPTE logo, you can use it for pay-as-you-go travel on Arriva buses in Bolton. You need to register your card with sQuid and then top up your card online in order to use it. Payments are contactless so just tell the driver your destination then hold your card next to the ticket machine and your ticket will print out. It's as simple as that! Upgrade your Bolton Council issued smart card

Got a card without a GMPTE logo?
If your card does not have a GMPTE logo on it you can upgrade it to a new one. Drop into the One Stop Shop or your local library and they will arrange for a new card to be sent to you. Register your new card with us (you will need to set up a new sQuid account).
