The Bolton Smart card is an innovative way for those who live, work or play in Bolton to be able to access leisure and library services, with just one card. Users are now able to use there cards for paying for bus travel on all Arriva buses in Bolton.

Discounts: Save money…
Your Bolton Smart card is free and you will receive discounts from restaurants, retailers, driving schools, fitness / dance classes, garden centres, travel agents, tourist attractions and many more.

Convenience: Save time…
As well as being a discount card, the Bolton Smart card is your library and leisure card. Once you have joined the scheme, your information will be stored on the card so there will be no need to provide evidence of your address, age or discount entitlement (proof of income related benefit is required annually). So give your information once and carry just one card.

Transit Purse, making it easier to pay your bus fare
From September you will be able to pay for bus travel on selected Arriva Buses in Bolton using your GMPTE transit purse. Simply top up your purse online and pay using your card on the bus.
