Who are sQuid?
sQuid is an independent eMoney network
That enables you to safely and securely pre-load money on to a sQuid smart card, which can then be used to make contact less payment for the little things in life, instead of using cash.
sQuid is completely independent from the banking world. We do not lend money or give out mortgages. You cannot get into debt with sQuid. In fact, you don’t even need a bank account to use a sQuid.
Whether you're 11 or 111, sQuid is available to all and not socially exclusive, anyone can use a sQuidcard, it's your money you pre-load.
sQuid is all about connecting people and helping to connect local communities. Beyond being just a great convenient way to pay sQuid has many applications above and beyond just eMoney.
sQuid can be found on it's own stand alone card, a sQuidcard, or may be added to a School, Council or travel card.... and many others too.
Smart cards are increasingly being used to offer local citizens, local services; access to libraries and leisure facilites, etc. Adding sQuid eMoney is a logical next step, just as Bolton Council are doing.
Schools, colleges and Universities are increasingly looking at ways to get cash off campuses; adding sQuid to existing smart cards whether for children's school dinners or to pay for library photocopying.
Making local travel easier
Integrated transport and eMoney all on one card, and available to all - no need for a bank account and children friendly - now there's a thing. sQuid also operate transit settlement through their network.
