Car rental service uses eMoney solutions
9 Jul 2010

Peugeot has launched a new vehicle rental scheme which uses eMoney solutions.

Drivers will be able to pay for rental charges online via the firm's Mu card – a pre-paid card system which uses points as currency.

Jon Goodman, managing director of Peugeot, claimed the new deal would help expand the company's customer base.

He said: "Never before has the rental customer been exposed to such an extensive product range, combined with periods of loan that offer flexible mobility and convenience.

"Mu by Peugeot will help the market extend customer relationships and bring new clients in to the Peugeot network."

Users can hire cars, vans, scooters, mountain bikes and a range of accessories including roof boxes and GPS units.

A trial scheme is currently running at Robins & Day car dealers in London and Bristol.

Peugeot plan to extend the programme to nine other European countries in the next six months.
