Cashless catering 'can take account of pupils' dietary needs'
2 Mar 2010

The implementation of cashless catering systems in schools and other educational institutions in the UK can help to take pupils' special dietary needs into account, according to one expert.

Stuart Bailey, Head of Education at global energy management specialist Schneider Electric, says that the upcoming Building Schools and Exhibition Conference (BSEC) on February 24th and 25th will give visitors the chance to see how various solutions can help improve student performance.

In fact, the company states that effective energy management, school security and cashless catering systems can all help to boost pupil performance levels by up to 30 per cent.

Additionally, it explains that contactless access control solutions and cashless school meal payment options can help to respond to the changing needs of both staff and children.

Cashless catering systems from ePayments provider sQuidcard have been established in British schools in the hope of eradicating the stigma attached to free school dinners.
