Cashless catering company chosen by MedAssets

MedAssets Supply Chain Systems has awarded a supplier contract to the CBORD Group in the US, which began at the start of this month.

Cashless catering is just one of the services the latter company's products can be used for and MedAssets members will be able to benefit from the firm's transaction processing systems.

Mark Miriani, president of MedAssets, said: "CBORD provides innovative, quality food and nutrition services systems."

He added that the solutions will bring his organisation's clients "exactly what is needed" during a time when they are looking to control costs and boost revenues.

The CBORD Group also provides food and nutrition management solutions and integrated security solutions to healthcare facilities and education institutions.

Cashless catering is something a number of schools in the UK are considering due to the various benefits it brings.

The eCash network sQuidcard provides contactless smart card technology that can be used for this function.
