Electronic money 'can ease burden'

Some reasons why a cashless society can be a good thing have been revealed by a businessman in the US.

Phillip Cunningham is general manager of Great Wolf Lodge in North Carolina and he has indicated that usingeMoney products can make things easier for consumers.

His company runs a water park and it uses contactless payment methods to make guests' experiences of the resort all the more simpler.

"While in a water park, no-one wants the burden of carrying money or credit cards," he explained. "Precision Dynamics' RFID System [which is used by the resort] helps us deliver the cashless convenience to our guests and improve their overall experience."

Meanwhile in the UK, sQuidcard has helped a number of schools in Wiltshire switch over to cashless catering.

Students at Sheldon and St Augustine's Catholic College use the facility, which allows parents to top up their children's cards and track their spending via the web.
