Sixth-form open evening for school with cashless catering
9 Oct 2009

cashless catering system may be one of the selling points for St Augustine's Catholic College in Trowbridge during today's (October 8th) sixth-form open evening.

The education facility has teamed up with eMoney network sQuidcard to provide a modern payment system in its dinner hall, allowing students to purchase food and drink using a contactless smart card.

It has been suggested by sQuidcard that this technology provides a discreet way for those on free meals to receive their lunches without their peers knowing that they have not had to pay.

Parents are also able to monitor what their children have been using their cards for, as it is possible to check spending history online.

An invite to today's open evening invites parents and students from all West Wiltshire schools to attend, as well as pupils who are in year 11 at St Augustine's, who will already be aware of the benefits a cashless catering system provides.
