Cuisine from around the world will be on the menu for pupils at Caterham School in Surrey as of next term.

Caterers Sodexo won the £2 million contract to provide the food for the private institution, reports the Surrey Mirror.

Following the deal, the company has indicated that a mix of food will be offered up to its new customers.

Simon Gordon, senior district manager at Sodexo, remarked: "Menus will include traditional British dishes such as shepherd's pie and will also [provide] more international cuisine to cater for the school's overseas students."

Sodexo was recently named as one of the best-performing firms in its sector to be included in Business in the Community's Corporate Responsibility Index, which recognises responsible business practice.
