US parents get 'easier time' with school catering
12 Aug 2009

Parents in the US will have an easier time when it comes to school dinner payment for their children, according to a Florida newspaper.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that schools in the Palm Beach County area of the state will be introducing a new online credit card payment system called Cashless Schools Parents.

It is yet another example of how various industries are moving towards a cashless society whereby electronic money is used for transactions.

Back in the UK, sQuidcard is helping school catering to become cashless while at the same time ensuring children who are entitled to free school meals receive them without being made to feel different.

The new system in Florida was developed with the input of local parents, according to the official website for the service.
