Chinese hotel receives new contactless technology
11 Apr 2011

VingCard has supplied a new system that will allow guests at one hotel to gain access to their rooms by swiping a contactless smart card.

The company's flexible door locking Vision solution has been installed at the China World Summit Wing Hotel located in Beijing at the China World Tower.

It aims to provide its guests with "cutting edge amenities" and VingCard claims its security system was therefore the "natural choice" for the project.

The solution uses touchscreen technology and enables enterprises to integrate their current property management programmes, meaning it is easy to use.

Tommy Leung, managing director of ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Greater China, said: "By combining Vision and Signature RFID by VingCard, the system adapts to the property and guests' unique needs and provides the property with cost-effective options for future upgrades."

Earlier this year, technology firm IER launched a new contactless reader for use at airport check-in systems including the ticket counter, security checkpoint and boarding gates.
