New partnership to boosts cashless society in Netherlands
24 Jun 2010
Living without cash in the Netherlands could be made easier thanks to a new partnership between contactless smart card provider Legic Identsystems and cashless vendor Magna Carta.
The deal between the two companies will see Magna Carta, the largest provider of eMoney solutions in the country, supporting Legic's contactless smart card technology.
Offering a range of applications to facilitate a cashless society, Magna Carta has solutions specifically catered to education, healthcare, leisure, government and business environments.
Hans Ruck, commercial director of Magna Carta, said that integration of Legic technology was easy to achieve because of support provided by the technology company.
"Our customers will benefit from solutions which combine high security standards and flexible Legic multi-application technology."
Last month, it was announced by Fidelity Systems that Keele University would be equipped with one of Magna Carta's cashless payment solutions ahead of the launch of a contactless smart card system.
