Smart technologies to be showcased in Asia
8 Dec 2009

Contactless smart card technology will be one of themes when the Cartes in Asia event runs from March 16th to 18th 2010 in Hong Kong.

And with Smart Card Alliance Executive Director Randy Vanderhoof predicting major developments in the sector over the next 12 months, the conference could see some new innovations in the payment sector come on show.

The latest smart technology was exhibited at the Cartes and IDentification event in Paris last month, but in a fast-changing industry, there could be even more new releases by next spring.

According to the official website for Cartes in Asia 2010, it is a "regional exhibition gathering companies from around the world dealing in digital security and smart technologies, and who wish to develop their business in Asia".

Visitors will head to the Asiaworld-Expo - a venue used for large-scale international events - during the course of the three days.
