US firms are increasingly incorporating eMoney solutions into their vending machines, according to new figures.

Cashless vending machine operator USA Technologies has revealed that it has connected 58 per cent more devices to its network over the past 12 months.

The firm also processed 73 per cent more cashless transactions over the same period, with 11,655,000 payments made using the technology since June 30th 2009.

Moreover, the company has doubled its customer base in the past year, as 525 more companies adopted cashless vending systems.

George Jensen, chairman and chief executive of USA Technologies, claimed the firm is looking to expand operations further in the future.

He said: "As the acceptance for wireless cashless transactions in our markets moves mainstream, we will continue to attempt to increase penetration in our target markets, apply our solutions to new markets and introduce new applications."
