BAA and British Airways team up for loyalty programme
7 Jun 2011
People who use BAA airports in order to commute or fly away on holiday can now be rewarded for their loyalty.
That is after the operator partnered with leading airline British Airways in order to launch the WorldPoints programme.
People will be able to take advantage of the scheme if they check in to Heathrow airport, as well as other BAA travel hubs across the UK, such as London Stansted, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Southampton and Glasgow.
Those who sign up to the loyalty programme will collect a point for every £1 that they spend when dining in the airports' restaurants or bars, as well as stocking up on items in their shops or using the locations' car parks.
WorldPoints can be redeemed for BA Miles, an ideal opportunity for those on regular overseas trips.
James Hillier, executive club manager at British Airways, noted: "We are delighted to announce our partnership with WorldPoints offering our customers the opportunity to earn BA Miles on virtually all airport spending."
