Brentwood shoppers urged to join loyalty scheme
9 Sep 2009

loyalty scheme is one of the initiatives being used by Brentwood borough council to boost the local economy and keep business within the Essex area.

The Brentwood Weekly News reports that - as well as late-night shopping during the week - a Keep Trade Local Loyalty Card is available to members of the public.

Commenting on the loyalty marketing, council leader Louise McKinlay told the newspaper that she is looking to get more businesses to keep their doors open later on Thursdays and she urged shoppers to get hold of the new cards.

Reflecting on last week's late-night shopping, she added: "It's early days and we didn't expect the town centre to suddenly be full of people, but it was a good start."

Meanwhile, eMoney network sQuidcard provides a loyalty scheme for a number of businesses in Bolton, Greater Manchester.

For instance, people who pick up a special Domino's card can use it in the pizza takeaway establishment to receive offers and pay for their orders.
