Bristol City FC revamp loyalty scheme
12 Jul 2010
Bristol City FC has re-launched its loyalty scheme for the new season, it has been revealed.
The new programme will, for the first time, award points for fans who attend home games and season ticket holders who live over 75 miles away from the ground, reports bcfc.co.uk.
Supporters will now earn one point for every home match attended and those who travel a long way to get to the club's Aston Gate ground will receive a one-off three point bonus.
David Lloyd, Bristol City's fans liaison officer, claimed the new scheme was made for the benefit of the fans.
He told the website: "Once again we've tried to reward our most loyal supporters. Nothing is ever perfect, but ultimately this scheme will guarantee that those supporters who really put themselves out to support Bristol City, home and away, will get priority for tickets."
Members and season ticket holders enter the Championship club's stadium with a contactless smart card, which acts as a ticket.
Visitors simply swipe their pre-loaded cards over the turnstile readers in order to gain access to the ground.
