Businesses begin to adopt loyalty scheme West Yorkshire town
31 Dec 2010

Local businesses in a West Yorkshire town are beginning to sign up to a customer loyalty scheme, it has been reported.

The Mirfield Reporter has revealed that an average of two companies a week are adopting the My Mirfield loyalty scheme, which offers customers discounts in participating retailers.

Organiser Martin Ibberson claimed he is aiming to get the majority of firms in Mirfield involved in the programme, as the loyalty points can be earned and redeemed in any participating store.

He told the news provider: "It is liked by customers because it means regular shoppers can save money, and the shops have got behind it as for them it's rewarding - they have loyal customers, but the scheme is bringing new customers to the town as well."

Mr Ibberson added that he has uploaded a number of offers on the website and more will be available over the coming months.

Loyalty card holders earn one stamp for every £5 they spend, with a £1 discount available for every ten stamps collected.
