Clinton Cards plans to introduce loyalty card
13 May 2011

Clinton Cards has revealed a number of strategies planned to try to turn decreasing sale figures around, including a new loyalty scheme.

First up will be a new website launched by the well-known high-street retailer, which will grant customers with the ability to place pictures and messages onto cards.

The online site is expected to be revealed next week, with an app for mobile phones set to follow along the same lines soon afterwards.

Some other plans that have been outlined by Clinton Cards include the launch of a loyalty card and the unveiling of kiosks, the latter of which allows people to print off their personalised cards while in one of the company's stores.

The strategies come soon after the group reported a fall in small-store sales of three per cent over the 40 weeks until May 8th.

Paul Salador, finance director at Clinton Cards, has expressed that he hopes the new schemes "can help us to win back some … sales".

Meanwhile, today (May 12th) saw the launch of Superdrug's new loyalty card, that doubles over as a mirror for fashionistas.
