Contactless smart card technology 'to be implemented at SeaWorld
24 Feb 2010
Visitors heading to SeaWorld in San Diego could find that life is a little easier thanks to the introduction of a contactless smart card system, it has been suggested.
Now that the city's Go San Diego cards have been extended to include the popular attraction, tourists and residents will be able to visit SeaWorld, as well as other museums and tours, for one flat rate.
The loyalty scheme also provides the cardholder with discounts at shops and restaurants in and around the city.
Cecilia Dahl, Founder and President of contactless smart card company Smart Destinations, says: "With SeaWorld now part of the programme, the Go San Diego Card has everything a visitor to San Diego wants to see and do."
Other attractions that the card can be used to gain access to include Legoland, the San Diego Zoo and the Reuben H. Fleet Science Centre.
Financial and Business Commentator and Founder of moneymagpie.com Jasmine Birtles recently stated that loyalty schemes such as this can be a good choice for retailers who want to gain information about their customer base.
