Couponless loyalty scheme being tested by American Express
12 May 2011
American Express users could soon be able to take advantage of a loyalty scheme being offered by the credit services company.
Teaming up with mobile location solutions provider Scvngr, the programme will first be trialled within select parts of the US, Fierce Mobile Content reported.
A unique part of the scheme is that it will offer consumers couponless loyalty rewards, with deals being redeemed by enrolling and using cards from American Express.
When they purchase items via these payment solutions, LevelUp savings will be delivered in statement credit straight to an American Express account.
The trial will first be tried out with well-loved fashion brand Levi's in the US locations of San Francisco, King of Prussia in Pennsylvania and Boston.
While Brits wait for the scheme to head over the Atlantic, they may want to check out such loyalty programmes that are being offered by companies such as hotel chain Britannia Group and Superdrug.
