Daily Telegraph revamps loyalty scheme
17 Feb 2011
The Daily Telegraph newspaper has revamped its loyalty scheme by introducing new 'clubs' in a bid to attract and retain more customers.
Subscribers who sign up for the Telegraph Privilege card will be able to take advantage of a range of offers from its dining, beauty, home, gardens and film clubs, reports Marketing Week.
Graham Horner, marketing director, revealed that the concept behind the new programme was that it would provide additional value to subscribers.
He told the news provider: "We are creating a new currency for our subscribers: privilege.
"We are investing in adding value to our subscription - this isn’t about making money, but at that key point of customer renewal, we will have one more piece in our armoury."
The Telegraph Privilege card was launched in April and offers customers the chance to redeem offers without needing to use vouchers.
Around 340,000 consumes are currently subscribed to the Daily Telegraph.
