East Coast trains launches loyalty scheme
16 Aug 2011
Passengers who regularly travel on East Coast trains could benefit from a new loyalty scheme launched by the company.
According to reports, customers who book journeys costing more than £22 through the organisation's website are set to receive points that can be exchanged for rewards.
Prizes include free Wi-Fi on East Coast trains and money off eVouchers that can be redeemed against purchases from any ticket company, as well as First Class travel.
By signing up to the East Coast Rewards initiative, computers will earn one reward point for every pound they spend and 1.5 for First Class purchases.
Peter Williams, East Coast Commercial and Customer Service Director, told Rail.co: "The scheme complements other recent improvements including the introduction of a new Quiet Coach and complimentary food and drinks in First Class."
This news comes after Hastings District Council in New Zealand introduced loyalty schemes across a number of cafes in a bid to encourage more people to use bicycles, Roadcc reports.
