Erewash traders back new loyalty scheme
11 Apr 2011

Traders in Erewash have shown their support for the introduction of a new loyalty scheme.

Backed by the Ilkestone Advertiser, the initiative will allow those who sign up to take advantage of offers in a variety of shops and market stalls.

Regeneration agency Erewash Partnership has been consulting with businesses on the move and they are reportedly happy with the way things will operate.

However, market towns co-ordinator Paul Calladine said there is still some work to be done.

"We have had some fantastic offers proposed by retailers," he stated. "But we still need more traders on board to ensure that the scheme goes ahead."

Advertiser editor at the newspaper Peter Hemmett added that the idea would give people more of an incentive to shop in their local area.

At the end of last month, the Oxford Mail revealed that Dews Meadow Farm Shop has joined its loyalty scheme, meaning certain individuals living in the area can now get special offers in-store.
