Expedia launches new loyalty scheme
5 Apr 2011
Many holidaymakers may want to take advantage of a new loyalty scheme from Expedia.
The easy-to-understand programme rewards consumers that use the travel company's service to book hotels, flights and activities.
For every $1 (60p) they spend, holidaymakers will receive one point, which can then be exchanged for benefits.
However, if people book more than one service at the same time, their rewards will be even greater.
Those who arrange a flight and hotel package will get two points per $1, while this increases to three points if a hire car is added to the deal.
Holidaymakers who decide upon a flight, hotel, car and activity package will receive four points for every $1 spent.
Last month, it was announced that Ritz-Carlton has established a new loyalty scheme whereby those who stay in the brand's hotels are rewarded with gift cards to spend at restaurants, golf courses or on spa treatments.
