Greenwich residents can use loyalty scheme for festival
12 Aug 2009
A loyalty programme in south London can be utilised for the forthcoming Greenwich Comedy Festival.
People can pay for tickets for individual shows during the week-long event - which runs from September 7th until 13th - with the so-called GreenwichCard, also known as the GMT2000.
Various outlets across the borough provide people with the chance to sign up to the loyalty scheme, which costs £1.
Using the GMT2000 allows residents to get money off a number of events and services throughout Greenwich.
This year's festival is set to be a popular occasion with big-name comedians such as Jo Brand, Russell Howard and Ardal O'Hanlon entertaining the crowds.
Various cashless systems are being set up across the UK, including in Bolton, Greater Manchester, where locals will soon be able to pay for bus travel in the region by using the sQuid eMoney network.
