Grimsby Telegraph launches loyalty scheme

A wide range of offers and discounts will be available to readers of the Grimsby Telegraph today (September 15th) following the launch of a new loyalty scheme.

The newspaper, which features a 16-page supplement in the latest issue, includes an array of discount opportunities to mark the start of the Your Life: Buy Local initiative.

Aiming to encourage residents to shop locally, the scheme is backed by a number of the town's businesses in a bid to boost trade and increase custom.

Interested readers are able to apply for the special loyalty card through the newspaper and then claim discount on products from a number of shops and restaurants.

John Pettit, Buy Local Scheme Advertiser, said: "The small businesses that have survived so far can only carry on in the future if they have the support of local people."

Last month, the Grimsby Telegraph called upon the town's residents to purchase from local shops rather than supermarkets and big-name internet websites.
