Hinckley loyalty scheme 'going bonkers'
15 Apr 2011

loyalty scheme in Hinckley is proving to be popular among local residents.

In just over a week more than 1,300 people signed up to the town's new card initiative, which gives them access to offers from a number of businesses, the Hinckley Times reports.

As well as getting money off food and drink establishments, shops, beauty salons and entertainment, individuals will be able to support the area's enterprises.

Jonathan White, head of Hinckley's Business Improvement District, said the scheme has "gone bonkers".

"It is absolutely steaming ahead and with all the publicity it helped us to have our busiest Saturday since we started recording footfall," he added.

Some long-stay car parks are also offering free Saturday parking for card holders throughout April and May.

Hinckley is not the only place to provide such a programme, as many businesses in Oxfordshire are signing up to a similar project in the area, according to the Oxford Mail.
