Loyalty programme developed by Best Western
12 Aug 2009

A new loyalty scheme has been introduced in the UK by hotel chain Best Western GB.

The loyalty programme allows cardholders to earn points, which can be redeemed for overnight stays at the company's hotels across the world or used to pay for other services such as car rental or shopping vouchers.

Points can be earned with some of the biggest online retailers around such as Boots and Waterstone's.

Tim Wade, Best Western GB's head of marketing, highlighted the importance of loyalty marketing.

"We are keen to offer additional value for our guests as we believe this builds longstanding loyalty and [gives] yet another reason to stay at a Best Western hotel," he explained to Brand Republic.

Elsewhere in the UK, Coffee Republic's payment and loyalty sQuid card allows cardholders to earn ten per cent into a loyalty purse on whatever they spend in store.
