Loyalty scheme card encourages local spending

loyalty marketing scheme in the west of England will provide a number of benefits to residents in the region, it has been suggested.

Trevor Land, one of the individuals responsible for running the programme, said that the initiative will help businesses attract custom and consumers save cash, reports the Tewkesbury Ad Mag.

Dubbed Eat Local, the loyalty scheme is being spearheaded by Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Gastro Card.

People using the card can make savings each time they eat out at participating restaurants.

Mr Land said: "There are some wonderful places to eat out - and with the Gastro Card diners can enjoy fantastic food and save money. It is a way of promoting Eat Local while helping people save some cash in these financially testing times." 

UK eMoney network sQuidcard provides a loyalty programme for Coffee Republic, which allows people to receive ten per cent back every time they use their loyalty card.
