Loyalty scheme considered for Wolverhampton shops
30 Sep 2011

loyalty scheme is being considered for people who use city centre shops in Wolverhampton.

Council bosses are evaluating the prospect launching such a programme to give businesses in the area a boost in trade amid the difficult economic climate.

According to a report from the Express and Star, the loyalty programme could see a host of discounts and rewards offered to encourage people to do their shopping in the city rather than visiting large out-of-town centres like Merry Hill.

While the final details of the scheme have not yet been revealed, the Wolverhampton Business Group is also campaigning for car parking costs to be slashed to as little as 50 pence to tempt shoppers into the town centre.

Online grocery retailer Ocado recently launched its own loyalty programme, which offers consumers a discount of ten per cent on more than 500 branded items in return for a small annual subscription fee.
