Loyalty scheme launched for Shipston shoppers
1 Sep 2011

Individuals living in Shipston could see themselves saving money while they visit shops in the town centre following the launch of a new loyalty scheme.

According to the Banbury Guardian, members of the public are set to be able to collect points in participating pubs, shops and businesses in the Wawickshire location.

The Shipston Card, which will be launched this Saturday (September 3rd), allows loyal shoppers to redeem rewards in the locations they were collected.

Marking the launch of the scheme, a special event is set to take place in the town centre between 10am and 4pm, where residents will be able to collect their card.

Kate King, Owner of Ivy Heart Gift Shop and initiative organiser, said: "All retailers understand that most people can choose where they shop.

"This is our way of saying thank you for shopping in Shipston and supporting local businesses."

News of the programme emerges after the Evening Telegraph revealed a similar initiative could be launched in Kettering to encourage people to do their shopping locally.
