Loyalty scheme proves a big success in Bolton
13 Oct 2011
A loyalty scheme recently launched by a charity has already proved to be a success in one part of the UK.
The Salvation Army announced details of its re:ward card initiative earlier this month, which allows shoppers to collect points when they buy things from its shops, as well as when they donate.
When they have spent £5 in a Salvation Army branch ten times, they will be given £5 to use on goods and products.
Chris Myers, who manages the stop in Bolton town centre, told the Bolton News he has already been impressed by the take-up.
"We have only just started it and the card is proving really popular. In these times of financial difficulty, it's great to be able to give something back to our customers," he commented.
One regular in the shop, 57-year-old Lorraine Bercini, added that she is already using the loyalty scheme and thinks it is a "great idea".
