Loyalty scheme to be launched in Caterham

A loyalty programme is in the process of being established in a Surrey town, it has emerged.
Various Caterham businesses have signed up to the loyalty scheme, which has been created to try and encourage residents to shop locally.
Dubbed the Caterham Smart Card, the initiative will give users the chance to gain discounts in a selection of shops in the area, Brand Republic reports.
Waitrose, Dollond & Aitchison and Wimpy branches in the town are among the 32 business involved in the project.
Local newspaper the Caterham Independent has been backing the scheme in its recent editions.
Elsewhere in the UK, residents of Bolton, Greater Manchester can utilise eMoney platform sQuid to access a range of local services and make payments in local retailers in partnerships that includes Bolton Council, the University of Bolton and local businesses.
