Loyalty scheme to help young Eagles' soar
25 Aug 2009
With the start of the football season this month, Crystal Palace have established a new loyalty programme.
The Star Rewards Crystal Palace Group Loyalty Scheme has been formed to help the club's youth development plans.
Palace, who are also known as the Eagles, have created the initiative in conjunction with Texaco service stations and it involves members earning money that will aid the future of the football team.
Every member of the loyalty programme is given a card, which, when used to buy goods at Texaco stations, earns stars which can subsequently be turned into cash by the club.
Dominic Jordan, vice-chairman of the club, said: "We are delighted to have partnered Texaco in this exciting project and welcome them as our main sponsor for the under-18s."
There are many other ways of running loyalty schemes, including the contactless smart cards offered by sQuidcard, which can be used for loyalty programmes such as the one they run on behalf of Coffee Republic.
