Loyalty schemes 'can have a huge impact on businesses'

Firms considering setting up a loyalty scheme have heard that such solutions can have a "huge impact" on a business and its staff.
According to Sarah Cross - managing director of business advisory organisation Uber - companies should research their targets before setting up a package.
She also insisted that although there are not many enterprises dealing specifically with loyalty scheme advice, it is well worth utilising their services before taking the plunge.
Ms Cross mentioned the benefits of having a loyalty programme in place are great, but it needs to be well targeted and managed on a regular basis.
"Getting loyalty right can have a huge impact on your business and staff, getting it wrong can equally have a huge impact in the wrong way," she remarked.
Earlier this week, the Northants Evening Telegraph reported that business leaders in Kettering had set up a new loyalty scheme, aimed at encouraging locals to spend their money at stores in the town centre, rather than heading further afield for their Christmas shopping.
