Nectar card loyalty scheme to target customers
12 Jul 2010

Nectar is planning to send personalised offers directly to customer's mobile phones, it has been revealed.

The loyalty card scheme will use data to send individuals customised vouchers while they are in participating stores, reports marketingmagazine.co.uk.

James Frost, marketing director at Nectar, claimed that customers can benefit from the scheme.

"We can really see a way where we can do that in a fashion that is going to deliver value to the shopper, whilst also delivering value to the retailer as they'll get more participation offers that could have otherwise been forgotten," he told the website.

Over 400 online stores currently offer customers the chance to collect Nectar reward points, while the loyalty scheme is also available in Sainsburys, Homebase and Vision Express outlets.

The firm is currently considering the feasibility of the project with its advertising agency G2 UK.
