New Contis product 'could improve customer loyalty'

Retailers and businesses could encourage increased customer loyalty through the adoption of a new smartphone gift card platform launched by Contis.

According to Finextra.com, the card solutions company's new product could see gift card providers enjoy a higher return on investment as a result of the scheme.

Using the new platform, businesses are able to integrate the Contis product into a traditional voucher programme to allow users to pay for items using their phones.

As a result, card holders are able to purchase and send the gift cards in seconds, as well as redeeming them in store or through a wide range of company websites.

Mike Fromant, Managing Director of Contis, said: "It's vital that gift cards evolve to meet customer demand for instant, hassle-free purchases that can be easily tracked."

Earlier this year, the company reported the success of its credEcard rewards initiative, which allows credit unions to provide financial assistance to their members.
