New loyalty scheme launched by lastminute.com

Online retail giant lastminute.com has announced it will be launching a new loyalty scheme and credit card.

Created in partnership with MBNA and MasterCard, the card features a rewards programme where users can earn points on all their purchases.

As well as this, cardholders will have access to exclusive offers on travel and lifestyle products.

The retailer hopes the card will help boost its brand loyalty, leading to more people making repeat purchases on its website.

Customers who spend the qualifying amount will receive a £15 welcome voucher and will be eligible to gain loyalty points.

"As both a travel and a lifestyle brand, it makes sense for lastminute.com to provide customers with great rewards to help them make the most of their free time," said commercial managing director at the website Fraser Robinson.

Recently, a new loyalty scheme, Love Local Life, was rolled out in Macclesfield, Cheshire, and is available as a downloadable application.
