New loyalty scheme launched in Northamptonshire

A new loyalty scheme has been launched in Northamptonshire which rewards users for spending.

The Wellingborough Cashback Card offers residents the chance to earn a £5 voucher once they have spent a designated amount at participating stores, reports northantset.co.uk.

Local MP Peter Bone claimed the new scheme will help improve the fortunes of retailer's in the region.

He told the news provider: "The launch of the new loyalty scheme is really positive - the shopkeepers have got together to do this and its great. I have got one of the new Wellingborough Cashback Cards and I will be using it in these shops and I would encourage everyone to do the same."

The new programme could help attract shoppers to the town centre following a downturn in sales.

Many local people were discouraged from shopping in the area due to the disruption caused by engineering work.
