New loyalty scheme launched in Staines
17 Dec 2010
A new loyalty scheme has been launched in Staines, it has been revealed.
The Ashford District Girl Guides has developed the programme to help attract local shoppers back to the town's high street, reports stainesnews.co.uk.
The Ashford Loyalty Card, which is free to join until the end of the year and £1 thereafter, offers users a range of discounts in participating retailers.
Councillor Caroline Spencer was full of praise for the new scheme while expressing her delight at being named as an ambassador for the local Guides group.
Cllr Spencer told the news provider: "I am helping the guides to promote this loyalty card and will be visiting businesses in Ashford to spread the word about this enterprising community incentive.
"I am proud to become an ambassador as it has become a charity very close to my heart."
The new scheme was officially launched last month at the Guides' Christmas market in the town's St Hilda's Church Hall.
