New technology designed for smaller scale loyalty schemes
3 Sep 2010
New technology has been developed which is designed to enable small and medium-sized enterprises to introduce loyalty schemes.
AIB Merchant Services (AIBMS) has launched its AIBMS loyaltyplus programme which rewards shoppers for repeated customers.
The system uses contactless ZapaTechnology, allowing users to load multiple loyalty programmes from different stores onto a single 'tag' to collect points.
Chris Mason, managing director of AIBMS, claimed the system was designed to help small firms compete with their larger rivals.
He said: "The AIBMS loyaltyplus solution also assists retailers by providing information and analysis of their own customer base and enables them to address specific consumer profiles with integrated communication tools.
"We are proud to announce that we are now ready to roll out the programme across Ireland and the UK."
Smaller companies can also benefit from the flexible nature of the system, allowing it to expand with the business.
Furthermore, AIBMS claim it is cheap to install and maintain which makes it ideal for start-up companies.
