Northampton businesses launch loyalty scheme
9 Aug 2011

A new loyalty scheme launched in Northampton could give residents the chance to save money on a range of products and services, it has been revealed.

According to the Northampton Chronicle and Echo, 125 businesses have signed up to provide offers to holders of the specially designed cards.

Created to encourage members of the public to shop locally, the loyalty scheme will see 100 firms - including salons and restaurants - provide a price discount for customers.

Pizza Express and Pressed for Time dry cleaners are among the businesses signed up to take part in the scheme, which offers a 12-month membership for £15.

John Gammidge, Director of Northampton Business Improvement District (BID), said: "As Northampton Town Centre BID, we are pleased to support this project by covering the advertising cost for each business that elects to join the scheme."

This news comes after Wellington Jersey Ice Cream from The Old Stackyard Tearooms in Cockermouth, Cumbria announced the launch of a new loyalty card, the Times and Star reports.
