Npower launches loyalty scheme for residential customers

Cash-strapped individuals looking for the latest offers could benefit from a new loyalty scheme launched by energy company Npower.

According to Marketing Week, the supply firm is set to reward new and existing customers by providing vouchers and discounts across a wide range of outlets.

As part of the In Good Company scheme, consumers can take advantage of bargains from a number of Npower's big brand associations, including Cafe Nero, Comet and the National Trust.

In addition, this will allow participating companies to target the energy supplier's 6.5 million customers by location and specific preferences to improve business.

Patrick Harvey, Npower's Head of Customer Loyalty, said: "Although there is no above-the-line activity planned at the moment, marketing around In Good Company will be relevant and timely."

This news comes after the electricity and gas company predicted higher numbers of British people would be turning up their heating throughout August as a result of poor weather.
