QualitySolictors and WH Smith launch loyalty scheme
12 Apr 2011

A new loyalty scheme is being launched by WH Smith in conjunction with QualitySolicitors.

The two companies have joined forces in a deal that will see the law firm offer legal services in 150 of the newsagent's UK outlets.

As part of the initiative, customers will be given the chance to sign up to a QualitySolictors loyalty card programme when it launches this summer.

Craig Holt, chief executive of the legal business, said the partnership will provide "accessible, consumer-friendly legal services but with the actual legal work being done by expert, leading local law firms and not unqualified staff in a remote call centre".

It is hoped that the idea will eventually be introduced in 500 WH Smith stores in Britain.

The Legal Services Act comes into force in October and this will make it possible for organisations such as retailers and banks to set up their own legal arms.

WH Smith is divided into two key businesses - travel and high street.
