Racecourse operator launches new loyalty scheme
2 Feb 2011
Jockey Club Racecourses has launched a new loyalty scheme in a bid to boost visitor numbers, it has been revealed.
The Racing Post has reported that the racecourse operator has developed the Rewards4Racing scheme which will allow members to accrue loyalty points for purchases at more than 250 major retailers.
Points can be exchanged for a free ticket to the races, ticket upgrades, corporate hospitality packages, as well as free food and drink.
Organisers hope the programme will increase crowd figures at Jockey Club Racecourses' 14 tracks from 1.8 million to three million over the next four years.
Paul Fisher, chief operating officer of Jockey Club Racecourses, said: "The Rewards4Racing loyalty programme is all about giving something extra back to racing fans for their support.
"Simply by making purchases on the high street, online and on our racecourses, members will earn rewards quickly to make their racing experiences that little bit more special."
Among the participating retailers are supermarket giants Tesco and Sainsbury's, as well as Amazon, Boots, Marks & Spencer and Debenhams.
