Salvation Army launches loyalty scheme to attract shoppers
4 Oct 2011

The Salvation Army has announced a new loyalty scheme aimed at encouraging people to use its shops during the tough economic climate.

Customers will be able to use the re:ward card to collect credit when they shop, as well as when they donate, the Halesowen Times reports.

When they have spent £5 in a Salvation Army branch ten times, they will be given £5 to use on goods and products that catch their eye in the shop.

Meanwhile, every time a corresponding reusable re:ward bag is brought in filled with things to donate, a £2 credit will be given.

Charity spokesperson Jayne Sargeant said: "We hope the re:ward cards will prove popular with our existing customers and encourage new shoppers to pop in and see what bargains we have on sale."

This comes shortly after health store Holland & Barrett also recently rolled out its own loyalty scheme called Rewards for Life, Marketing Week reports.
