Superdrug to launch new loyalty scheme

Superdrug is launching a new loyalty scheme this summer, it has been revealed.

The high street retailer has developed a Superdrug Beauty Card in a bid to get more people interested in the brand, Marketing Week reports.

This will be accompanied by a new TV advertising campaign starring Gavin and Stacey actress Joanna Page.

Featuring the strapline Take Another Look, it aims to encourage consumers to sign up to the new loyalty scheme, the news provider continued.

Furthermore, Superdrug has changed its magazine so customers are now able to make purchases using their smartphones, while a concept store has been opened in Wimbledon, London.

This will form the basis for the design of future outlets.

The new programme could rival the Advantage Card currently on offer from Boots, which offers members four points for every £1 they spend.

One point is equal to 1p and it claims to be the most "generous loyalty card scheme in the UK".
