15 Nov 2010
Tottenham Hotspur FC has launched a new loyalty scheme for its fans, it has been revealed.
The Premier League side will offer discounts and offers on its merchandise to over 70,000 One Hotspur members.
Cardholders will earn 'ClubCash' for all purchases in the club's official store and website, as well as in retailers who participate in the scheme.
These loyalty points can then be redeemed against the value of goods such as football shirts, scarves and footballs in the club's store and online.
Spurs has teamed up with marketing firm Sports Alliance, who will help operate the programme and oversee its implementation in participating retailers.
Emma Taylor, head of marketing at Tottenham Hotspur FC, expressed her exitment at the move.
She told the Sports Alliance website: "We are delighted with the integration of our membership, retail and loyalty activities. This is an exciting and ambitious initiative and a first in English football."
