Town loyalty scheme to be launched in Trim
16 Nov 2009
Residents and businesses alike will be able to benefit from a new loyalty scheme starting in Northern Ireland, it would seem.
The town of Trim will be launching the loyalty marketing programme next week in an attempt to encourage more people to shop locally, reports the Meath Chronicle.
Dubbed Treasure Trim, the initiative will see loyalty cards handed out to locals, who can then use them to receive offers and deals from participating companies.
Trim Chamber of Commerce is behind the launch of the programme, which is being piloted at present.
President of the chamber Yvette Bloomfield said that the loyalty marketing scheme could prove particularly useful over the Christmas period.
Companies such as Pizza Hut and Subway use loyalty cards to try and encourage their customers to make return visits.
Both firms - as well as Coffee Republic - use eCash network sQuidcard to run their loyalty card programmes in the UK.
